The flowers are blooming and spring is in the air! Since Spring is the time for spring cleaning, now is the perfect time to rethink, reorganize, and revitalize your house with a little Feng Shui. In this article, we will explore 9 simple tips for bringing positivity into your home using Feng Shui design principles. By following these tips, you will attract even more good energy into your life!

Fix your squeaks!

Does your entry door squeak or whine when you open or close it? The sound is as if the door is crying, and this can affect your mood and well-being. Oil that door hinge and create more positive energy when you enter and leave your house. It’s also helpful to oil any other door hinges throughout the home, but the entry door is the most important.

Use your front door

Many people live in homes where they drive up into the garage and use the back door to get in. While this is convenient, it may limit good energy and opportunities in your life. The entry door represents how chi enters your home and life. So, start using the front door at least once a week. The more often, the better! Just open and close it when you go to get the mail or take a walk. Incorporate it into your regular routine.

Where to place that Feng Shui fountain

Water represents wealth in Feng Shui, so it's advantageous to place a water element, such as a fountain, near the entry of your home. The water should be flowing towards the center of your home, allowing wealth to pour into your life.

Plants above the kitchen cabinets

Take a look at your kitchen cabinets and check if there is space above them. If there is, it's good Feng Shui to fill that space with lighting, green plants, or beautiful objects that bring life to the area. This adjustment prevents stagnant energy and encourages positive energy flow in your life.

Keep that bathroom door closed

In Feng Shui, the bathroom is often a cause for concern because water represents wealth, and we don't want our money being flushed away. To reduce this effect, keep the toilet seat cover down and the bathroom door closed. It helps maintain positive energy in your home.

Where is your bed located?

The location of your bed is crucial in Feng Shui. Place your bed in the "commanding position," where you can see the door while lying in bed. If that's not possible, use a mirror to reflect the door's view. This positioning creates a sense of security and allows you to rest peacefully.

Cover up the TV in your bedroom

If you have a television in your bedroom, consider covering it when not in use. The active energy and electronic aspects of the TV may disrupt the calming energy necessary for sleep. Simply toss a beautiful scarf or fabric over the television to create a more peaceful atmosphere.

Clean all windows

Start your spring cleaning by cleaning your windows. Windows symbolize your eyes to the world, so it's essential to have clear windows that allow you to see and experience everything the universe has to offer. Grab some old newspaper, vinegar, and water, and clean away the grime. Open your eyes and brighten your space.

Do a space clearing

To welcome fresh and new chi into your home, perform a space clearing. Burning palo santo or white sage, or spraying natural orange essential oil with water are effective methods of space clearing. These actions help to burn off old energy and fill the space with positive energy and your hopes for the future.

These simple tips will help you transform your home into a harmonious and positive space. Remember to embrace the principles of Feng Shui and enjoy the wonderful energy it brings into your life!
