Have you noticed the recent trend of using copper accents in kitchen decor? It's hard to miss the glowing allure of copper in the kitchens of some of our favorite bloggers. Not only does it instantly bring warmth and elegance to a room, but it also adds a touch of rustic glam.

As I embarked on my own quest to incorporate copper into our kitchen decor, I stumbled upon some fantastic finds at estate sales and auctions. I couldn't wait to see how these copper pieces would transform our space.

Copper: A Budget-Friendly Kitchen Upgrade

One of the great things about decorating with copper is that it doesn't have to break the bank. You can easily incorporate copper into your existing kitchen decor while staying within your budget. Copper blends seamlessly with other metals, allowing you to create a harmonious and stylish look.

In my kitchen, I decided to hang a cluster of copper pans over the stove, varying the sizes slightly. To complete the ensemble, I added a copper shaker on one side and a copper tea kettle at the center. The effect was simply stunning.

I also discovered a lovely copper tray at an estate sale, and I propped it up in the corner of the kitchen counter behind my collection of English ironstone pitchers. This simple addition brought a touch of elegance to the entire room.

The Missing Piece: A Sweet Reminder

While exploring the world of copper accents, I couldn't help but reminisce about my mother's love for this metal. She had an impressive collection of copper pans, molds, and accessories, including a beautiful French copper chocolate pot she found in an antique store. I cherished the sight of it proudly displayed on her stove.

Regrettably, after she passed away, my siblings and I decided to sell her copper pieces. Looking back, I wish I had kept that charming little chocolate pot. It's interesting how our tastes change over the years, and I'm sure many of you can relate to a similar story.

Now, I keep an eye out at estate sales, auctions, and thrift stores, hoping to stumble upon something reminiscent of that long-lost chocolate pot.

Embracing Change: From Drab to Fab

Reflecting on how far our kitchen has come since we first bought this house never fails to amaze me. Let's take a moment to appreciate the drastic transformation:

Introducing copper accents into our kitchen inspired me to incorporate some Spring elements and make additional changes. It's amazing how one small addition can lead to a chain of delightful transformations.

A Touch of Copper: Making an Impact

One of the best things about incorporating copper into your kitchen decor is that a few pieces can make a significant impact. Whether it's a canister set, a teapot, a few pans, or even a copper colander serving as a fruit bowl on the countertop, copper brings the wow factor.

If you're looking to revamp your kitchen without embarking on a full remodel, decorating with copper accents might be the perfect solution. Copper is a versatile metallic that beautifully complements other metals, including stainless steel appliances, while adding warmth and distinctive beauty to your kitchen.
