Take into account the non-changeable elements in your home, such as trim color, flooring, and kitchen cabinets. Although these can be changed, if you don't plan on doing so, select colors that pair well with those existing tones. Additionally, consider the lighting in your home. Darker colors might appear lighter and brighter in a room that receives a lot of natural light. Lighting really affects wall colors, so make sure to view your color choices in both daytime and nighttime conditions.

Avoid using Repose Gray and Agreeable Gray in the same room, as their similarity will make it seem like a mis-tint. Opt for colors with a stark contrast instead.
