DFS is thrilled to unveil the exclusive Grand Designs bed collection, an extension of their highly successful sofa range. This new collection features three stylish beds crafted using cutting-edge and sustainable materials.

Designing for the Future

Sustainability lies at the heart of this innovative range. DFS has conscientiously considered the environmental impact at every step of the design process. From sustainably sourced timber frames to interiors made from recycled plastic bottles and fabric crafted from 100% recycled yarn, these beds showcase a commitment to a greener future.

Style Meets Sustainability

Taking inspiration from the Grand Designs x DFS sofa collection, the Farnham, Tenby, and Edinburgh beds exude a design-led aesthetic without compromising on style. Available in three popular fabrics - velvet, chenille, and weave - and an array of colors ranging from rich earthy tones to elegant neutrals, these beds cater to diverse tastes. Furthermore, each bed comes with the option of a standard or ottoman bedframe, blending modern living with additional functionality and storage. Expect generous proportions and a luxurious feel that embodies the accessible and aspirational design synonymous with Grand Designs.

A Commitment to Sustainability

The collaboration between DFS and Grand Designs, which began in 2021, showcases DFS' dedication to building a sustainable business model rooted in the principles of the circular economy. This model focuses on eliminating waste and sourcing environmentally-friendly materials that can be recycled and reused.

To further uphold this circular model, DFS has introduced Sofa Rescue, a landfill diversion program. In partnership with Clearabee, DFS offers to collect unwanted sofas from homes, recycling them wherever possible and ensuring responsible disposal. This initiative has already seen over 50,000 sofas collected across the UK, helping to reduce the number of sofas that end up in landfills.

A Sustainable Vision

Kellie Wyles, head of upholstery and brands at DFS, expresses her delight in continuing the collaboration with Grand Designs through the launch of the bed range. Both DFS and Grand Designs share the vision that being environmentally friendly should be accessible and affordable for all. The latest addition to DFS' sustainable range, together with the Grand Designs partnership, reaffirms DFS' commitment to quality, style, and affordability.

The Grand Designs bed collection will be exclusively available at DFS.co.uk and in DFS stores starting from 23rd March 2022, with prices starting from £1,549.
